Summary
Ensures the accurate and timely customs clearance of import and export shipments in compliance with Romanian and EU customs legislation
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review customs declarations and import/export documentation in line with Romanian Customs Authority and EU requirements.
- Ensure correct tariff classification (HS codes), customs valuation, and country‑of‑origin determination.
- Coordinate daily customs clearance activities with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure timely release of goods.
- Calculate and verify customs duties, VAT, and other taxes, ensuring accurate payment and reconciliation.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, transport documents, certificates, Intrastat where applicable).
- Track shipments in internal or ERP systems and provide clearance status updates to internal teams.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics and/or Customs clearance
Additional Qualifications
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding and use of compliance tools and regulations
- General knowledge of a diverse list of agricultural commodities, products and their governing contracts
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- Proficient in English

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
