Summary
CHS is looking for a Truck Driver/Operations Specialist to join our team in Friona! This individual will be hauling fertilizer and grain to and from local customers in the area. This is a Monday- Friday, daytime role, and drivers are home each night for supper. When driving is slow, this individual will be helping out with operations at the location.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products safely and professionally.
- Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading.
- Load and unload agricultural inputs using machinery or equipment.
- Conduct and record repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Monitor and maintain inventory quality.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations including hours of service.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Perform grounds and warehouse maintenance.
- Report safety or customer issues promptly.
- Maintain strong safety culture.
- Perform other assigned duties
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Trucking Operations
- Class A CDL
- Must meet minimum age requirement
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Additional Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Maintain or be able to obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
- Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends
- Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
- Agriculture background preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
- Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 lbs
- Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs and bins, and into back of trailer
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
