Summary

CHS, Inc. has an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain Planning & Execution organization as a Senior Supply Planning Analyst supporting the Global Grain product line. This critical position has ownership of regional planning processes, tools, and information that convert product line strategy into actionable and executable supply chain plans. This role will deliver value to CHS through organizing complex analysis and delivering insights that drive business outcomes. The core activities of an S&OP Planning Analyst include developing and maintaining tools and process that align supply and demand through the creation of a consensus, cross-functional, One Number Plan. This individual will conduct moderately complex supply chain planning activities and is also expected to have a close working relationship with key members of the trading, transportation, operations, and finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly Grain One Number Planning process for assigned regions, ensuring aligned supply, demand, plan performance reviews, and connection to financial outlooks. 
  • Develop and maintain advanced forecasting, demand, and capacity models that integrate trader insights, historical trends, contracted positions, and market intelligence.
  • Collaborate closely with Trading, Go-to-Market, Market Research, Operations, and Logistics teams to translate business insights and priorities into a cohesive 18-month plan. 
  • Incorporate asset capabilities and transportation constraints (rail, barge, truck) into planning models to ensure realistic and actionable scenarios.
  • Produce clear insights and recommendations that highlight risks, opportunities, and financial implications for decision-making. 
  • Build and enhance analytical tools, dashboards, and planning templates that improve cross-functional visibility and consensus planning efficiency.
  • Facilitate discussions across matrixed teams to drive alignment on assumptions, scenarios, and execution plans.
  • Develop network optimization and cost-to-serve analysis to identify opportunities that strengthen supply chain performance. 
  • Contribute to business cases for capital investments that enable asset and network performance aligned with the One Number Plan.
  • Develop strong partnerships across functions and regions to support consistent, data-driven S&OP execution.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain, S&OP, Finance, Trading, Operations, or related roles requiring analytical and cross-functional collaboration

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Strong planning problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate business insights into actionable recommendations for supply, demand, and network optimization. 
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to simplify complex analyses, build compelling narratives, and present confidently to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
  • High relationship-building and influencing skills, especially in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
  • Strategic facilitation skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional discussions, drive alignment, and navigate conflicting priorities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent planning and modeling cycles with consistency and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams/SharePoint.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms; ability to build dashboards and interpret insights.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
