Summary
This position will manage a commercial portfolio with commitments up to $500M. They will identify, develop and execute areas of strategic growth for CHS Capital. Responsibilities include frequent meetings with local cooperatives and their leadership teams, delivering sales presentations, originating and servicing commercial loan products.
Responsibilities
40%
Call on new and existing commercial customers to develop new business and retain existing business.
Manage overall relationship between CHS Capital and commercial customers by providing the highest level of customer service.
Develop strong relationships with commercial customers and their local leadership teams including board of directors.
Provide direction and recommendations to customers and leadership teams around factors impacting their business.
Regularly attend board meetings to present on behalf of CHS Capital.
Maintain expertise in the market related to industry trends.
Grow the CHS Capital commercial portfolio.
30%
This position will work across different functions of CHS to develop and bring to market enterprise focused financials products and solutions to commercial customers.
20%
This position will provide support and work closely with Enterprise Credit to ensure credit analysis is completed in a sound and timely manner.
10%
Create and support a culture of continuous improvement. Sponsor efforts to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and create value to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
Four-year degree in Business Admin, Finance, Economics, or Related Field
7+ years of ag lending, ag finance, or ag credit.
Proven leadership abilities.
Influential and sales oriented.
Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to analyze commercial financial statements.
Ability to build long lasting business relationships.
Ability to analyze and evaluate numerous large complex loan and credit applications, assess credit risk levels, determine appropriate controls, monitor performance, determine profitability for the organization.
30-40% travel required.
Additional Qualifications
7+ years of commercial lending experience
Customer Focus, ability to communicate effectively (written & verbal), behaving ethically, leadership, self-motivated, relationship building skills, results orientation, optimizing the organization.
Proven experience business development
Prior experience in relationship management
Excellent time management
