Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity on our Energy Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. We are seeking a lead Expert Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities at our corporate headquarters in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, within our Lubricants business.
This position delivers high-impact financial insights that drive profitability, operational efficiency, and alignment with enterprise objectives. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the finance lead and business partner to the Lubricants business, including financial management and performance oversight
- Oversee annual P&L and capital budgeting, long-range planning and quarterly forecasting processes, including delivering to Energy senior management
- Lead financial reporting, dashboards, and financial models to communicate business performance, key performance indicators (KPIs) and plan/forecast variances
- Own the Quarterly Financial Review (QFR) process and communicate monthly variances through reporting packages and presentations
- Deliver advanced financial analysis and actionable insights including identifying growth and efficiency opportunities to support margin improvement, risk management and strategic decision-making
- Build relationships to partner with cross-functional stakeholders to influence business outcomes and support strategic initiatives
- Enhance and strengthen forecasting accuracy and analytical capabilities
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency, accuracy and scalability
- Lead ad hoc projects without significant guidance from leadership
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, or a related discipline
Additional Qualifications
- CPA license, CMA certification and/or MBA degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools including SAC and Power BI
- Advanced experience with SAP including Cloud Planning and/or JDE
- Demonstrated ability to use Artificial Intelligence tools to improve the efficiency and quality of financial analysis, forecasting and reporting
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and financial analysis
- Deep understanding of financial statements, including income statement, balance Sheet and cash flow statement
- Experience with the Energy industry
