Summary

CHS, Inc. has an exciting opportunity to join the enterprise customer service team. We are looking for a Wholesale Customer Service Representative. The customer service function is responsible for facilitating the resolution of various types of business-to-business customer inquiries and disputes for our wholesale crop protection and crop nutrient customers. Customer service provides support to customers when dealing with billing and payment support, coordination and tracking customer disputes, system access and reporting, along with contract and order support. Customer service uses available resources and works with internal team members across business functions to investigate and resolve customer inquiries.

This is a hybrid position working a minimum of 3 days per week in the Inver Grove Heights, MN global corporate office. 

Responsibilities

  • Billing Inquiries: Facilitate customer inquiries related to payment confirmations, prepay balance, invoice and payment status and reprinting documents upon request.
  • Disputes & General Support: Intake all types of customer disputes such as quality claims, delivery issues, invoices, contract and pricing discrepancies, and quality. Provide general support including terminal wait times, where to send payment, and hours of location operation. Escalates complex problems to supervisor as needed.
  • Onboarding & Customer Portal Support: Support new customer set up and portal access. Monitor the set-up process and address delays. Provide customer welcome packets. Initiate account changes (i.e., bank account, shipping location, etc.) as needed. 
  • Contracting & Order Support: Provide customers with posted bids and price sheet quotes, explain contract policy, including general pricing and order application questions. Work with business partners to provide updates related to balances, delivery, amendments, and confirmation.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • 2+ years of experience in Customer Service or Technical Support
  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to customers and coworkers
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting practices
  • Ability to work extended hours to meet business demands 
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in Spanish to customers and coworkers, preferred
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
