Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Enterprise Credit Team within Finance. We are looking for a Senior Credit Analyst to support the Special Assets group primarily focused on our retail business and CHS Capital, our financial services provider. You must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to ensure customer needs are met. You will need to be adaptable, detail oriented, dependable, a team player, a self-starter, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 

 

To be considered for this position, qualified candidates will ideally live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN metro area in order to work a hybrid structure (3 days per week) at the corporate office in Inver Grove Heights, MN. Will consider remote options for top talent.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial analysis of accounts within the portfolio, including the assessment of financial risk and credit worthiness, identifying key risk elements and security requirements, assigning risk ratings and recommending actions to reduce risk to CHS.
  • Interact with customers, loan officers, and business partners to gather operational and financial information to complete analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policy and established guidelines.
  • Report on credit risks and market conditions impacting the portfolio of accounts.
  • Help drive continued improvements to streamline processes.
  • Analyze loan documents, borrower financials, and collateral details to assess repayment capacity and recovery potential to reduce risk to CHS.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement workout/liquidation strategies for problem loans including past due, underperforming, non-performing, and charged-off loans to mitigate risk and maximize recovery.
  • Work directly with customers with delinquent debt to find a workable exit strategy.
  • Work directly with other professionals such as attorneys, general managers, credit managers, loan officers, auctioneers, attorneys, and realtors to maximize return on collateral secured loans.
  • Periodically travel to meet with clients or view collateral.
  • Create and present weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to senior management on status of accounts and actions taken.
  • Help drive continued improvements to streamline processes.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting and/or Credit

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
  • Agriculture background
  • Understanding of UCC liens and/or Ag liens
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
