Summary
CHS Inc. has an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain Planning & Execution organization as a Senior Demand Planning Analyst supporting the Crop Nutrients product line. This role is ideal for a highly analytical demand planning professional who can build advanced forecasting models, translate complex datasets into business insights, and communicate recommendations clearly across cross-functional and senior stakeholder groups. The Senior Demand Planning Analyst will combine supply chain planning expertise, a data science mindset, and strong business communication to improve forecast accuracy, scenario planning, and S&OP decision-making.
This is a hybrid role with at least three days per week on-site at our global corporate headquarters in Inver Grove Heights, MN
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the monthly Crop Nutrients Demand Planning process for assigned regions, ensuring risks & opportunities are identified in the demand plan, plan performance reviews, and connection to financial outlooks.
- Architect and maintain advanced demand forecasts and scenario models that integrates trading and Go-to-Market insights, Market Research, operations and logistics input, historical trends, and contracted positions
- Design and enhance analytical tools, dashboards, and planning templates that improve cross-functional visibility and consensus planning efficiency by leveraging Copilot Studio/ChatGPT Enterprise
- Facilitate discussions across matrixed teams to drive alignment on assumptions, scenarios, and execution plans.
- Support strategic decision-making and investment cases, including capital investments, by quantifying market share opportunities, growth potential, and untapped demand.
- Champion consistent, data-driven S&OP execution by building strong partnerships across functions, regions, and reinforcing planning discipline and best practices.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain, S&OP, Finance, Trading, Operations, or related roles requiring analytical and cross-functional collaboration.
Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Economics, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Statistics or related field.
- Practical experience with Python, SQL, Dataiku, Snowflake, and Power BI
- Advanced analytical and modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to work with complex datasets.
- Strong planning problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate business insights into actionable recommendations for supply, demand, and network optimization.
- Exceptional communication skills—able to simplify complex analyses, build compelling narratives, and present confidently to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
- High relationship-building and influencing skills, especially in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
- Strategic facilitation skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional discussions, drive alignment, and navigate conflicting priorities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent planning and modeling cycles with consistency and accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams/SharePoint.
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms; ability to build dashboards and interpret insights.
