Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in the Information Technology group. We are looking for a Senior Product Owner to lead product strategy and delivery for customer identity, enrollment, access, and consent experiences that support a secure and seamless digital front door for our customers. The Senior Product Owner defines product vision, translates strategy into prioritized work, and maximizes customer and business value through delivery. This role connects stakeholders and the product team to ensure priorities are clear, actionable, and aligned to measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy, Vision, and Customer Value
- Define and continuously refine a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to CHS objectives, customer needs, and measurable outcomes.
- Partner with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather insights, validate needs, and ensure the product delivers meaningful business value.
- Use customer feedback, market knowledge, and performance data to make informed prioritization and trade-off decisions.
- Communicate the “why” behind priorities and connect product outcomes to broader business goals and OKRs.
Backlog Ownership and Delivery
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring work is clearly defined, actionable, and focused on the highest customer and business value.
- Lead creation of epics and features and partner with business analysts and team members to decompose work into right-sized user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Establish quality expectations by ensuring stories align to acceptance standards and Definition of Done, and maintain accountability for prioritizing and resolving defects.
- Support release readiness and product launches by aligning stakeholders, confirming business acceptance, and communicating release value and outcomes.
Continuous Improvement and Team Leadership
- Translate emerging risks, audit findings, and compliance needs into backlog priorities and ensure they are addressed appropriately.
- Review delivery, quality, and product outcome metrics to guide continuous improvement and optimize customer and business value.
- Mentor team members in product ownership practices, prioritization, and agile ways of working to strengthen team effectiveness.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration to manage dependencies, improve alignment, and support shared outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology Management, or related field (or equivalent years of experience, education and/or training)
- 4+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Technology Consulting and Support to include:
- 3+ years of experience in a product owner or equivalent role working with both business and IT employees/stakeholders in a cross-functional environment
- Demonstrated ability to define product direction, manage priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes
- Experience working in agile product delivery environments with backlog management tools
- Experience with customer discovery, persona development, roadmap planning, and outcome-based measurement.
- Familiarity with release planning, product metrics, and continuous improvement practices
- Demonstrated ability to identify, coordinate, and facilitate dependencies across teams to support delivery of complex initiatives
Additional Qualifications
- Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance customer value, business goals, technical feasibility, and risk.
- Relevant certifications (Product Owner, Scrum, etc.)
- Experience with customer identity and access capabilities, such as registration, login, enrollment, profile management, password reset, multifactor authentication, and step-up authentication
- Experience translating privacy, security, compliance, and customer experience needs into product backlog priorities and delivery decisions
- Experience working with identity-related tools or vendor solutions, such as consent management, cookie consent, or customer authentication platforms
- Advanced knowledge of software development procedures including scrum methodology
- Advanced proficiency in agile delivery tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or GitHub) and data driven dashboards

Physical Requirements

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
