CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Transportation Division. We are looking for a full-time Crude Truck Driver in Kevin, MT, to transport crude from our producers to our CHS terninal in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Operate a tanker truck and trailer to deliver crude oil from customer locations to our CHS terminal in a safe, compliant manner.
- Provide professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries.
- Measure crude oil at the lease location and test for impurities in accordance with regulations and company standards.
- Maintain electronic logs and on-board computer with each shipment.
- Utilize pto, hydraulics, valves and hoses for loading and unloading.
- Follow all guidelines and regulations for hauling crude oil.
- Immediately notify leadership of any repairs, incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns; execute required response and reporting procedures.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections as well as loading and unloading products.
- Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Work extended hours as needed to meet business demands. Schedule includes rotating weekends and potential slip seating.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)
- Valid Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required
- 2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Must meet age requirement
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.
Additional Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience hauling hazardous materials
- Demonstrated safety performance and consistent adherence to procedures in hazardous materials operations.
- Demonstrated customer service and communication skills; interact professionally with internal teams and customers.
- Demonstrated experience completing tanker product transfers (loading/unloading) and related documentation in a regulated environment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and to the top of a tanker trailer
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; travel and time away from home as required by the schedule
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in environments with regular exposure to hazardous materials.
CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
