Summary

CHS is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant in Mankato, MN to provide high-level administrative and operational support to leadership, department managers, and staff. This role is critical in ensuring efficient daily operations, coordinating across teams, and supporting process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses strong communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities

 

  • Provide high-level administrative support including calendar management, meeting coordination, correspondence and backup as needed.
  • Prepare, format, and distribute reports, presentations, and internal communications.
  • Manage travel arrangements, expense reports, and purchasing functions as well as 
  • Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and tracking tools with a high level of accuracy organize filing systems (electronic and physical) for easy retrieval of information.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and logistics across departments as well as support purchasing and inventory tracking as needed.
  • Support and assist with scheduling training sessions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiency.
  • Support and track departmental projects, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures and documentation.
  • Assist with implementation of new tools, systems, or workflows.
  • Assist with employee activities, events, and recognition programs.
  • Coordinate vendor communications and maintain vendor records.
  • Monitor key metrics, deadlines, and compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • 2+ years of experience in Administrative Assistance and Support
  • High School diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and prepare reports
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and decision-making
  • Experience coordinating projects, meetings, and cross-functional activities
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support process improvements

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
