Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity at our offices in Mankato, MN or Inver Grove Heights. We are looking for a Senior Business Operations Specialist, Oil Seed Processing to collaborate with cross-department team of colleagues to ensure the operations of a multibillion-dollar supply chain are carried out accurately and efficiently. Provide both internal and external customers with quality service, accurate contracts, timely orders, current account information, smooth transactions, and a positive experience with CHS. This role is preferred to be based in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa or Wisconsin;. For highly qualified candidates outside of those locations, a remote arrangement may be considered. This role requires travel to corporate office in Inver Grove Heights, MN or Mankato, MN based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Utilize ERP system to create orders and loading documents for multiple commodities, locations, and modes of transport. Ensure accuracy of counterparty, product, destination, and all other relevant data.
- Serve as liaison between customers, carriers, sales/procurement, transportation, production, and operations. Coordinate with multiple departments to assist customers with questions/issues related to contracts, orders, transportation, credit, and scheduling to ensure steady, error-free flow of outgoing/incoming shipments. Reduce non-value added work performed by Trade Execution team.
- Address customer complaints immediately. Process quality claims promptly and provide timely and comprehensive responses to customers. Compile summary reports for management.
- Monitor contract performance and order status. Support prompt execution in accordance with contract terms. Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure all deliverables are being met. Assist with reporting requests.
- Apply LEAN or continuous improvement methodology to analyze current state processes. Develop and implement new or improved procedures to enhance the productivity and accuracy of processes within the department. Maintain and update process-related reference documents.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- 2+ years of experience in Customer Service and Technical Support
- High School diploma or GED

- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to customers and coworkers
- Ability to work well in a team environment; develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload
- Capacity to think and solve problems independently within a changing environment while being customer focused and building solid relationships
- Strong interpersonal and business communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage time effectively, make decisions and work independently within a team atmosphere
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products, including Outlook, OneNote, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Communications, or in a related field
- 1+ years of experience in Customer Service, Sales Support, or Supply Chain
- Lean Certification
- Experience monitoring and responding to metrics, resulting in a path of continual improvement
- Proficient with Microsoft Power BI or similar advanced reporting tools
- Ability to work effectively in multiple information systems and ERP systems
- Highly motivated self-starter, able to follow through with tasks/projects to successful completion
- SAP experience
- Agriculture and/or Energy industry experience
- Leading or participating in process improvement projects

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
