Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity within our Pipelines and Terminals Department in Minot, ND. We are looking for a Union Terminal Operator to operate a Light Products Petroleum Terminal, including receipt of products, oversight of product quality and testing, inventory maintenance, environmental compliance, and loading of trucks. You must be a detail-oriented, results-driven individual with a commitment to quality, accuracy, and the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong commitment to safety and the ability to work in both a team environment and on self-directed tasks are necessary. 

Compensation Data

$53.34/hour.  This is a Union Role. Wages are based on the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Document and accurately measure movement of petroleum product through the terminal.
  • Provide efficient 24/7 operation of loading rack by maintaining rack equipment, additive systems, and training truck drivers using the loading rack.
  • Coordinate pipeline and additive receipts to maintain a consistent product supply and product quality.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. 

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record 
  • Live within 20 minutes of the Terminal
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing. 

Additional Qualifications

  • Additional Qualifications: Petroleum industry experience
  • Additional Measurable Skills / Experience
  • Experience in a light product terminal or an oil refinery
  • Experience or knowledge of hazards associated with handling petroleum fuels
  • Basic equipment operation skills
  • Mechanical skills
