About the Role:
We are seeking a Supervisor, Product Owner with strong Project Management, Support operation and Leadership skills to drive product development and support operation while leading and empowering teams. This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring timely delivery, business continuity, stakeholder alignment, and team growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product’s vision and mission and ensure the vision is clearly communicated to the product delivery team and understood by the team.
- Develop a product marketing strategy to drive consumption including core positioning and value proposition for the product and its major releases.
- Create, maintain and communicate the product roadmap, support operation to the product delivery team and stakeholders. Hold decision-making authority for scope-versus-schedule decisions for features isolated to their product.
- Prioritize backlog based on customer and business value and drives clarity for the product delivery team by communicating the goals of the requirements, working with team members as needed.
- Communicate successes to the enterprise and continue to drive the value behind product ownership and agile delivery in close collaboration with IT members.
- Influence the overall market, various segments, and define user personas of the product to ensure that the product strategy and roadmap provide value to the users and business.
- Conduct the necessary research and analysis to fully understand the customers’ needs and requirements to make sure that operation is running without impact. Work with the customer and IT Product Owners and IT Business analysts to define what business value means to the customer and use this definition to assess each feature/story based on business value.
- Represent the voice of the customer to the product delivery team, based on active customer engagement, actively support to operation and provide direction on the development, testing, and refinement of features in a collaborative fashion.
- Ensure the product is demonstrated to the customer and stakeholders to validate that the product being delivered meets the customers’ needs.
- Negotiate with the customer representatives, external and internal stakeholders, and the product delivery team to prioritize work in the backlog and help maximize the value the team delivers.
- Ensure that the team understands the context of the stories in the backlog and that the team has adequate information to deliver the stories.
- Provide leadership to ensure the product delivery team continually achieves a meaningful balance between user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility. Influencing cross teams.
- Ensure value realization by consistently measuring the impact of delivered features against the original goals and KPIs identified by stakeholders.
- Work with the IT Technology Business Management Office to manage the financial performance of the product.
- Supervise and guide teams in product development, fostering alignment, performance, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology area.
- English: Intermediate Level.
- + 6 years leading technical team driving projects also supporting daily operation.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Project Manager, or IT Lead with focus in systems/applications.
- Focus on continuous improvement for both the business process and the underlying technologies and system support.
- Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, waterfall and Agile frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, driving efficiency and collaboration.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to align teams with business objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with DevOps or other project management tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Certification in Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar is a plus.
